Historic Ordinance

The Bay St. Louis Historic Commission was formed in June 2007 to help the city establish an official historic district. The district was officially formed by a unanimous vote by the City Council in December, 2007. Click here for access to the entire ordinance.

The Hancock Chamber of Commerce has initiated a public awareness campaign to educate citizens about how the process works and provide answers to frequently asked questions.
